Violette de Solies has ripewide figsfrom August to the end of October depending on the weather. They are slate-blue, violet-blue to black with red flesh, have abeautiful eye-catching shapecompared to most figs and are wonderfully sweet, soft and fragrant. Tastes like figs with berries and cherries.
Eat them fresh, cooked, with cheese or dessert, with a dish or make jam or compote. It is all possible with this variety. You can also keep these figs well when refrigerated. Pick them as soon as they are soft. Winter protection aids fruit production.
